We wait the governor regulation (Pergub) before we applied the regulation on upcoming December 17

Now, the verbal of regulation is still studied by Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama. It is expected to be passed immediately so the regulation will be applied on December 17, 2014, told Benjamin Bukit, Jakarta Trasportaion Department Vice.

"We wait the governor regulation (Pergub) before we applied the regulation on upcoming December 17 after we submitted the verbal to governor," told Bukit, Monday (11/24).

Motorists Start Using Pertamax

Benjamin said, to apply the regulation, his side needs that Pergub as the law base. Because the Pergub made from Law No 22/2009 about Traffic and Public Transport and PP No 79/2013 are not enough to apply the restriction.

The sanction for the offender also includes in Pergub. "So it really needs combination from law, government regulation, and governor regulation to ease the restriction," he said.

He mentioned, socialization for rider about the regulation will be also held during the trial. The motorcycle which cross the road will be stopped and ticketed. The amount for ticket is still under process and will be included in the passed Pergub.

But, if the rider still does not know about regulation, his side only give warning. The trial will be held until January 2015 and applied fully in February 2015.

Jakarta government also provides 10 free double-decker buses as support of this regulation. So, the rider can continue their journey by using the bus. The parking lot will be provided at ex IRTI Monas field, and inside the building around the road.
